The event enabled the CABICHEM Consortium members to meet the Head of Regional Secretariat, Mr. Bakhtiyor Gylyamov, the CBRN CoE National Focal Point (NFP) for Uzbekistan, Mr. Jamshed Sharipov, and national experts in domains related to chemical and biological waste management. During the first day the CABICHEM implementers presented the tasks of the project in order to inform participants of the potential benefits for Uzbekistan.

The mission in Uzbekistan was realized in close collaboration with the EU CBRN CoE NFP, Mr. Jamshed Sharipov, and was very successful since it brought together European experts belonging to the CABICHEM Project and Uzbek CBRN Authorities, Uzbek stakeholders and experts. Moreover, the visits fostered a better knowledge for the CABICHEM experts of the country’s needs aiming at the correct implementation of the project and the achievement of its targets.
