training bishkek nov2019 2A working group of twenty-five professionals and experts from key national agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic met last November 25-27, in Bishkek, at the State Agency on Environment Protection and Forestry, the Working Package 4 delegation of experts of the European Union’s Centers of Excellence for the prevention, protection and mitigation against chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear risks and threats. The scientific and technical discussion focused on a series of emerging threats related to the management of hazardous chemical and biological waste.

From 14 to 16 October 2019, twenty-five relevant experts, scientists and professionals from Uzbek governmental institutions, national agencies and local industrial enterprises, together with technical experts of the European Union’s Centers of Excellence for the prevention, protection and mitigation against chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear risks and threats, have discussed and examined the most recent approaches towards a sustainable, safe and secure management of hazardous chemical and biological waste.

The EU CBRN CoE project 65 (CABICHEM) organises a regional workshop in Tashkent

On 9th October 2019, the Lotte City Palace Hotel in Tashkent has hosted the opening ceremony of a a three-day Regional Workshop organised by the EU CBRN CoE Project 65 “Strengthening chemical and biological waste management in Central Asia countries for improved security and safety risk mitigation” – CABICHEM. The Event represents a concrete opportunity to foster a long-lasting dialogue between the five Partner Countries from Central Asia: Afghanistan, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan as well as to define common strategies to be implemented within the CABICHEM framework and beyond.
